The Challenge
In an effort to better manage their employee headcount data, Citigroup's Global Risk Management Group embarked on an effort to replace a Microsoft Excel-based business process to reduce management effort and increase data traceability.
TandemSeven Solution
TandemSeven was retained because of specialized knowledge and experience in design and usability of enterprise applications. The team worked closely with the Risk Management and Citigroup IT teams to quickly gather requirements, create the detailed design and architecture, and implement the construction of the project's 1.0 phase. Next, the team leveraged requirements and end-user feedback that had already existed and tapped the knowledge of the Risk Management team. Applying TandemSeven's experience-centered design process, the team was able to quickly focus on core requirements as it related to Risk Management's existing Headcount tracking business process, and looked for opportunities to improve overall system workflow.
The Results
A unique and differentiated design was created, offering Risk Management a feature rich application to manage their headcount. TandemSeven delivered detailed requirements, a user interface design, system architecture and build on time and on budget. The TandemSeven team is in the process of implementing the 1.1 release with the Risk Management team. The design and build has yielded a full featured and flexible application which will reduce the effort required to support Risk Management's headcount.
